Chemtex COVID-19 Update

Chemtex COVID-19 Update

As you are aware, the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus (“C19”) in the United States has caused numerous state and local governments to issue executive orders directing businesses and individuals to stay at home or shelter in place orders (“Stay Orders”). Many states (including Minnesota) have, and a number of other states are expected to, issued Stay Orders in the upcoming days in an effort to flatten the curve of the spread of C19. Chemtex is closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization regarding COVID-19. We will continue to seek guidance from these agencies, public health officials and government agencies on an ongoing basis.

Chemtex provides chemicals and services for government and commercial facilities and wastewater systems. This work is classified as part of the essential critical infrastructure workforce (“ECIW”) by the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (“CISA”). Pursuant to the guidance provided by CISA and consistent with state-level Stay Orders, companieslike Chemtex that provide critical infrastructure serviceshave a responsibility to continue operations, even during a Stay Order. Our work is necessary tomaintain the services and infrastructure Americans depend oneven during the national response to C19. Guidance from CISA is available at: https://bit.ly/2w8y5Ig

As our employees interact with customers and the general public, we have taken steps to limit exposure to the virus. We have put restrictions on travel, limited the size of meetings, provided remote-work solutions and continue to reinforce safe behavior in every environment. We are sending daily communications to our employees with any updates that we learn of from the CDC and the WHO. Employees who feel ill have been told to not report to work. We have specific quarantine and communication procedures in place should an employee be diagnosed with COVID-19 or is asked to self-isolate by a public health authority.

We will take all reasonable and recommended measures in practicing social distancing and implementing health and safety precautionary measures in the fulfillment of our work, and we expect you to do the same during these unique times. Please continue to communicate with us as we work through these challenges.
